These Celebrity Mega-Mansions Are Now Worthless

Sylvester Stallone’s California Estate – La Quinta, California

On the Market Since: 2014
Total Area: 5,000 square feet
Initial Value: $4.5 million*

In 2010, Rocky and Rambo star Sly Stallone spent $4.5 million for a home in La Quinta, California. The MGM star’s property has all the trimmings: a formal dining room, hardwood floors, arched entryways, a dedicated wine room, and a spacious eat-in kitchen. The house has five bathrooms and four and a half bedrooms, making it ideal for large groups. The stucco exterior is covered with clay tiles in the Tuscan and Mediterranean styles. In 2008, the property was built on Stallone’s idea. “It’s possible” that the actress’ “Italian pedigree” had an impact on the design, according to RobbReport.

Stallone’s mansion has proved challenging to sell despite its magnificent appearance. It was first offered for sale in 2014, but he dropped it by the end of the year. After that, he relisted it for $3.87 million, incurring a loss of somewhere around $200,000 or so. La Quinta’s worth has risen from $3.499 million to $3.999 million in an updated listing five years later.
