Gardner’s most notable landmark is the SK Pierce Mansion, erected in 1875. The 6,661-square-foot Victorian home is well-known locally and globally for its “haunting” reputation. Sylvester Pierce, the founder of S.K. Pierce & Sons Furniture Company, owned the land.

Even though it hasn’t sold, the house still attracts a lot of interest from potential buyers. Adventurers hoping to catch a peek of the supernatural have given it a 4.8-star rating on Facebook (or, at least, to see a cool-looking house). If the SK Pierce Mansion were to sell and be permanently closed to the general public, the ghost adventurer community would be devastated.
