Whether it is slapstick comedy or a serious role, Jim Carrey has proved his mettle in all kinds of roles. Coming from a humble background, Jim started a career in comedy and his father kept encouraging him and used to drive him around for his stand-up comedy acts. His popularity rose to a new high, and soon, he started appearing on television and even got offers from movies which further catapulted his fame until almost everyone knew his name. He would often say later that if he didn’t have a job in showbiz, he would end up working at one of those steel mills. We are glad that didn’t happen or else Hollywood would have missed out on one of its most talented actors.
