Dixie Chicks – Formed in 1989

Sisters Martie Erwin Maguire, Emily Erwin Robison, and lead singer Natalie Maines, a.k.a., the Dixie Chicks are a band from Dallas, Texas that was formed in 1989. The girls had a thriving career for many years, reaching the number one position on charts numerous times. They’re also the winner of thirteen Grammy Awards and several other accolades. Sadly, due to their outburst against President Bush during the 2003 Iraq invasion, the group was blacklisted and banned from performing anywhere during his tenure. Luckily, their fans could rejoice once again with their revival as they made a tour in 2010 after a long break. The band members obviously made quite a financial success as well, but that surely didn’t help sort their personal troubles and controversies, most of which involved the guidance of a good lawyer.
