An Example Of Videobombing
Videobombing occurs when a person unexpectedly enters the background of a live broadcast with the intention of gaining attention. In 2015, KTLA’s Wendy Burch experienced this first-hand when a man snuck up behind her while she was reporting. Both parties were shocked, but she was taken aback and loudly screamed.
Afterward, Burch was able to laugh it off and posted a positive message on Facebook. According to the Huffington Post, she was reporting on where the 2024 Summer Olympics will be held at the time. This incident made it to the news, and Burch’s videobombing experience seemed to start her viral fame.
