His Last Rodeo
Rodeos are a great American tradition involving many different sports. One of the best-known—and most dangerous—is bull riding, which is all about attempting to stay mounted on top of a furious bull for as long as possible. As expected, this doesn’t always turn out okay for the riders.
According to official data, most rodeo-related injuries happen either due to direct contact or falls from animals. The Canadian organization Animal Alliance reported that concussions and head injuries are the most common injuries rodeo athletes have to endure. On the other hand, barrel racing is considered to be the safest rodeo event.
