Questa foto mostra qualcosa di diverso. Ancora oggi è possibile trovare diversi piccoli dosimetri inutilizzabili nel terreno di Pripyat. Questi strumenti venivano utilizzati principalmente per misurare la dose di radiazioni e venivano impiegati soprattutto dai lavoratori per pulire l’area dopo l’incidente. Il fatto che siano sparsi indica chiaramente i pericoli che ancora si celavano, anche durante le attività di pulizia. Moltissime persone hanno perso la vita durante tali operazioni di pulizia e le loro polizze assicurative per la salute sono state di scarsa utilità. Questi dispositivi assomigliano a quelli forniti ai turisti che visitano Chernobyl.
