IVAN HA SCELTO DI NON LASCIARE LA SUA CASA
Senza nessun posto dove andare, molti anziani sono tornati alle loro case all’interno della “Zona di Esclusione”. Ivan Semenyuk, ottantenne, è un esempio di ciò: è tornato nel villaggio di Parushev, la sua città natale, insieme alla moglie Marya. Ivan non ha mai pensato di trasferirsi in case di riposo più sicure, dove avrebbe potuto vivere tranquillamente. Invece, ancora oggi va nella foresta per raccogliere funghi, coltiva verdure come patate, cetrioli, pomodori, zucche, barbabietole, mais e alleva persino polli. È uno dei pochi sopravvissuti tra le 600 persone che un tempo abitavano la città di Parushev.
