40+ Jaw-dropping Sight From Dubai, the City of Superlatives
A Cake Worth its Weight in Gold
In Dubai’s luxury sphere, artisan bakery Bloomsbury introduced a dessert that redefines opulence: The Golden Phoenix. Priced at 3,676 dirhams (USD 1,000+), this confectionery masterpiece boasts Italian chocolate, organic strawberries, and an ample dusting of edible gold. Entrepreneur Shafeena Yusuff Ali, in partnership with London’s revered Bea’s of Bloomsbury, envisioned this sumptuous treat.
Reportedly requiring 48-hour prior notice, the cake arrives on an aureate Villari Marie Antoinette princess tea trolley and is showcased on a 24-carat gleaming Empire Morning Cake Stand with Cloch. Astonishingly, the overall cost of unveiling this gem surpassed $28K, making it a spectacle in culinary art and presentation.
