The Moon Star shoes take opulence to galactic heights. Crafted with gold, 30-karat diamonds, and actual meteorite fragments from a 1959 Argentinian discovery, it’s a confluence of precious materials and artisanal mastery. The brainchild of Antonio Vietri, Italy’s “golden shoemaker,” this $19.9 million shoe made its grand debut at MIDE Fashion Week in Dubai Marina in 2019.
Its design uniquely echoes Dubai’s architectural marvel, the Burj Khalifa, in the sculpted aureate heel. Complemented by a silver upper adorned with resplendent motifs and a diamond-studded frieze, the shoe’s pièce de résistance is a meteorite fragment pendant at the heel, embodying the celestial essence of its name.
