The risk of public humiliation is ever-present for TV personalities, as even the most minor mistakes can be blown out of proportion. One example is an uncomfortable incident that occurred live on air when two presenters discussed child discipline.
One of the presenters asked the other if she had ever been “spanked properly.” The other responded awkwardly, saying that she had experienced proper spanking, though not as a child. Whatever she meant, it’s good that she never got spanked because it causes identical emotional and developmental harm as abuse to kids, as per Healthline. Of course, since their banter was captured on camera, the video quickly went viral.
