Live reporting can be complicated, with sudden and unpredictable events occurring in the blink of an eye. One of the more embarrassing blunders a reporter can face is not knowing what to say or having an inappropriate face appear in the background.
In Washington Square, one reporter was subject to a prank of a much more severe nature. As the camera rolled, an unknown individual pulled down the correspondent’s pants on air, exposing him to the world. This sudden humiliation shocked the journalist, with no time to react or pursue the prankster. The camera quickly cut away to the crowd behind him, but the man was nowhere to be found.
