Julia Somerville, 75 Years – Television Newsreader and Reporter
Julia Somerville has been a journalist in the UK for over 50 years, beginning her career as a sub-editor in the BBC radio newsroom in the 1970s. She later moved on to reporting and has worked with the BBC, ITN, and ITV.
Somerville has proved age has nothing to do with the quality of work she does on air. She, along with her co-hosts on “Rip Off Britain,”, has defied the idea that women over a particular age are not appealing to the viewers and has been doing her bit in making them stay glued to their show. Britain is aging, but people like her don’t seem to believe that.
