45 Rarely Seen Photos of Princess Diana You’ve Never Seen Before

All Smiles For Pavarotti’s Performance

In 1991, Luciano Pavarotti held an outdoor charity concert at London’s Hyde Park and was met with challenging weather. It was pouring rain, making it difficult for the 125,000 fans to see and for Pavarotti to connect with his audience. The organizers asked everyone to close their umbrellas, and one woman, Diana, was the first to do so, getting soaked in the process. The “Holy Mother” crooner then dedicated an aria to her.

After the show, the princess ran inside and approached Pavarotti, making light of the situation by quipping, “Do you like my new hairstyle?” She was confident and fully aware of how to act, and the two went on to become close friends.
