Something That They Didn’t See Coming
Cora’s heart raced as she scanned the cabin, desperately seeking empathy or solidarity among her fellow passengers. However, what struck her most was the collective apathy that seemed to permeate the air. The flight attendant’s curt and degrading tone was met with an eerie silence as if an invisible wall of indifference had enclosed the entire business class section.
The old woman felt isolated, drowning in humiliation and uncertainty. Upon her return, the other flight attendant’s pallid face told a tale of astonishment and disbelief. She revealed the contents of Cora’s passport to her colleagues, leaving them equally flabbergasted.
