Strange Routines
After some time, Anders developed the habit of demanding that he be given three or four pennies in change for every purchase he made. Initially, it was nothing more than a peculiar behavior that some people regarded as strange.
Anders did not slow down at any point during the journey. On the contrary, his quirks were embraced by those who cared about him since they were fundamental aspects of his personality.
Nobody could fathom why he would stop adding to his penny fortune or when he would stop doing it. It’s possible that not even Anders himself was aware of how much money he’d accumulated.
