Por causa do seu vício, o ator acabou variando o seu peso e seus quilos extras e o uso de drogas foram alguns fatores decisivos que o fizeram envelhecer de maneira ruim. É claramente visível, pelo seu aspecto cansado e velho, que Perry foi atingido pela idade.
