What Patriotism Looks Like
Nothing shows loyalty to the country more than painting the American flag onto one’s body. However, like all national flags, the colors and symbols are arranged for more than just aesthetics. The colors are equally relevant. The red speaks of hardiness and valor, the white represents innocence and purity, and the blue symbolizes vigilance, justice, and perseverance. These are all ideals that the average American citizen is expected to uphold.
