The Jimi Hendrix Experience

James Hendrix was an American guitarist, singer, and songwriter. Although he had a career that spanned four years and is widely regarded as one of the most impactful electric guitarists in the history of popular music, also he was one of the most celebrated musicians of the 20th century. He is arguably regarded as one of the greatest instrumentalists in the history of rock music.

Hendrix went on to record three hit albums with The Jimi Hendrix Experience. The band put up an electrifying performance at the 1967 Monterey Pop Festival and kicked off the first U.S. tour for the band. They belted out hit numbers such as Hey Joe and Purple Haze and, at the end of their performance they sang the song Wild Thing. Hendrix poured lighter fluid over his black Fender Stratocaster and set it on fire.
