David Bowie
David Robert Jones or David Bowie as he is professionally known was an English singer-songwriter and actor. He was a leading figure in the music industry and regarded as one of the most impactful musicians of the 20th century. Bowie was acclaimed by critics and musicians and they hailed him for his innovative work during the 1970s.
He breathed his last on his 69th birthday in 2016 and loved to create an impression with his live performances. He also loved to create a big fanfare at the end of all his gigs. A case in point was at London’s Hammersmith Odeon on July 3, 1973, where he proceeded to have the final encore of “Rock and Roll Suicide” and announced the final Ziggy Stardust show ever. That made Bowie’s fans think that it would be his last tour but of course, it wasn’t.
