They say a dog is man’s best friend, but it seems that a dog is a dog’s best friend, too, as Pluto and this service dog demonstrate in this picture. He is the lovable and loyal companion of Mickey Mouse and is one of Disney’s most beloved characters.
Created in 1930 by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks, he made his first appearance in the cartoon “The Chain Gang.” Unlike many characters, Pluto is not anthropomorphic and is instead portrayed as a real dog and is often depicted as being mischievous. This combination of traits makes him a relatable and lovable character to audiences of all ages.
