Walking a tightrope across Rio de Janeiro’s iconic Christ the Redeemer statue is a feat only the bravest adventurers would attempt. This man in the photo, named Brian Mosby, is as fearless as daredevil Felix Baumgartner, the first person ever to have crossed a tightrope suspended between the statue’s arms.

Baumgartner had to take special precautions to protect the fragile statue, including using a special type of rope that would not damage the stone. He balanced himself with the help of a balancing pole, completing the walk in just four minutes. According to The Guardian, he was mentally and physically prepared for this part.
