A Hairy Situation
Long hair and sports aren’t exactly a match made in heaven. The tennis player in the picture probably regretted having a beautiful ponytail once it got in the way of her eyes, temporarily blinding her during a match. In American football, for instance, having long hair is also a disadvantage, as hair-pulling is within the rules of the game, according to NBC Sports.
The Monpure website recommends some ways one can protect his or her hair while doing sports. These include using a sweat-absorbing headband, having a damp towel on hand, applying a toning scalp serum, and using sulfate-free shampoo.
