The Passion of Sports
The professional basketball players Tristan Thompson and David West are both six-feet-nine, meaning there’s no obvious winner in a battle between the two. Like two modern-day giants, the two athletes clashed during a match, causing the referees—and even a worried Andre Iguodala—to intervene.
Watching nearby, a lucky photographer captured a well-timed snap showing all of the action. The most ironic thing about it? If it wasn’t for their angry faces, one could almost assume Thompson and West were about to kiss. All violence in sports is regrettable, but we guess it’s almost impossible to erase moments like this from a sport as passionate as basketball.
