According to a Melbourne University study, the United States boasts the largest number of cheerleaders in the world: about 1.5 million. However, disparate sources—namely, the USA Cheer website—cite that there are roughly three million Americans involved in amateur and professional cheerleading. It’s as quintessentially American as the apple pie!
