Bending the Rules
Wrestling can be a messy sport, as seen in this well-timed photo. But even though the game appears to be violent, there are a lot of techniques and rules to it. For one, it is illegal in professional wrestling to bite an adversary, even if he’s grabbing one’s teeth. Pro wrestlers are also forbidden from pulling their opponents’ hair, pinching their skin, twisting their fingers, and punching genitals.
Despite the rules, unforeseen accidents do happen in wrestling. We hope the Chinese wrestler in the photo got out of this fight with all his teeth intact, even though that seems unlikely.
