When people say a man was kicked in the “crown jewels,” they’re often referring to a man’s private parts. But when the Orlando Guardians safety Matt Elam (then performing for the Baltimore Ravens) was kicked in his crown jewels, that meant something completely different.
Despite boasting one of the most impressive sets of golden teeth the world of sports has ever seen, Elam was still unlucky enough to get acrobatically kicked in the mouth by one of his opponents. And in case you’re wondering, that wild foot in the picture belongs to the former San Diego Chargers wide receiver Eddie Royal.
