Além de ser um respeitado ator, presente em obras bem-sucedidas como Titanic e O Lobo de Wall Street, Leonardo DiCaprio também é conhecido por seu ativismo pelo meio-ambiente: seu discurso ecológico no recebimento do Oscar deixa isso bem claro. O astro norteamericano já colaborou e liderou organizações de preservação ambiental e não mede esforços para proteger a natureza.
Sendo assim, não é nada surpreendente que Leonardo DiCaprio tenha carros como o Tesla Roadster e o Fisker Karma Híbrido, automóveis que, além de lindos e luxuosos, também são ecologicamente viáveis. Por US$135 mil (R$520 mil), o Fisker é adquirido com um interior Eco-Chic, confeccionado sem o uso de produtos de origem animal. Leo também possui outros carros em sua garagem e, assim como o Tesla e o Prius, são modelos elétricos ou híbridos. O exemplo do superastro poderia ser seguido com muita facilidade por seus admiradores, se não fosse pelo preço mais alto desse tipo de veículo.
