Jack Black nunca teve que lidar com problemas de peso, considerando que seus papéis não precisavam acentuar seus atributos físicos; seu talento cômico era o suficiente. E também não achamos que ele tenha tido alguma doença, mas Jack Black, conhecido por suas decisões impulsivas, decidiu perder peso. Apesar de muitos meios de comunicação especularem que ele usava suplementos alimentares, o ator insistiu que sua perda de peso era tudo graças a uma dieta de baixas calorias e muito treino de alta intensidade. Ele também disse que comia passas, nozes e bebia smoothies verdes para aumentar a energia.
