Ron Lester – Cirurgia de bypass gástrico
O ator de Marcação Cerrada e do The Fat Boy Chronicles, Ron Lester, começou sua carreira como comediante de stand-up. Ele era conhecido como o cara grande e engraçado de Hollywood. Lutando com seu peso de 230 kg, Ron Lester finalmente decidiu que a melhor maneira de se livrar de todo o excesso de peso era entrar na faca. Ele conheceu um cirurgião e fez uma cirurgia de bypass gástrico em 2001. Mesmo após a operação, ele teve que passar por 18 cirurgias plásticas para remover o excesso de pele. Apesar de se sentir bem com seu peso, o ator sofria de problemas no fígado e nos rins em 2015. No ano seguinte, ele foi desligado dos aparelhos, conforme solicitado por seus parentes, e morreu aos 45 anos de idade.
