Max Baer Jr. — 1937
If you are an avid watcher of vintage shows on television, you might be familiar with Max Baer Jr. After going on board The Beverly Hillbillies, he portrayed the character of Jethro Bodine and immediately bowled us over. He continued to be a permanent fixture on the show until it was over in 1971. Since he wanted to avoid getting typecast, Max ventured into directing and also produced films like Macon County Line. Although his career didn’t reach great heights and no good offers came along his way, Max collected a good sum of money in his bank account with which he could easily pay off his insurance premiums and plan out a good life after retirement.
