These Celebrities Served In the Army Before Becoming Famous, Some of Them Were in World War II
Bob Keeshan
Bob Keeshan was best known for playing the title character in Captain Kangaroo, a children’s TV program that ran for close to 30 years. He joined the Marine Corps Reserve after high school, but soon after, Japan had surrendered, and the war ended. Though Keeshan was never part of any active war or been in a real battlefield, he must have celebrated Veteran’s Day with as much enthusiasm as other military veterans.
