The year 2016 was a tragic year for the family of Carrie Fisher and millions of her fans all over the world. She died on December 27th and her mother, Debbie Reynolds, followed the very next day. It was a bad day for Star Wars fans. Carrie was not only famous as Princess Leia from one of the most popular movie sagas of our time, but she was also a comedian and a writer.
However, few people know that her half-sister is Joely Fisher, who is a prominent actress and singer. She is best known for her role in the sitcom, Ellen. The two had been good friends since their childhood days as their mothers were neighbors. Joely even went on to write an emotional piece after Carrie’s death.
