Jackie Mason
Uno de los comediantes más conocidos de todos los tiempos, Jackie Mason se levantó del Lower East Side para actuar para la Familia Real e incluso fue uno de los favoritos de la Reina Madre y el Príncipe Carlos. A la edad de 93 años, falleció en el Hospital Mount Sinai en Manhattan después de experimentar problemas respiratorios durante semanas.
Su carrera abarcó seis décadas y tuvo cientos de funciones con entradas agotadas tanto en Broadway como en Londres. Recibió un Tony, un Emmy, una nominación al Grammy y legiones de fanáticos. Será recordado como uno de los más grandes comediantes de Estados Unidos, por su fuerte acento de Brooklyn, sus chistes ingeniosos y, lo que es más importante, el drama que puso en sus actuaciones.
