Idris Elba – $3 Million, Hackney
Idris Elba is an actor who began his career in the entertainment industry as a DJ before transitioning to acting. One of his earliest acting roles was as a regular on the popular British TV series “The Bill,” but it was his portrayal of Russell “Stringer” Bell on the series “The Wire” that earned him widespread recognition.
Elba is the owner of a $3 Million home in Hackney, and in 2017, his plans to build a basement film and music studio, with an added live room for music performances, outraged his neighbors, who feared that would bring unwanted noise and attention to the area.
