After singing his way to affluence, you would think that Shane Filan would be wary of anything that threatened his new lifestyle and net worth. Surprisingly, the former Westlife band leader had other plans. All he needed was one lousy property investment, and he was back to ground zero. And with taxes compounding the already bad problem, there was no end to the tumultuous time. Thankfully, with the dividends of his hard work (despite being solo), Filan was able to make a dent in his debt within two years. Shane is pretty lucky that he was able to get away with the whole affair without having to declare bankruptcy.
