Die Untersuchung ergab jedoch, dass ein HNO-Arzt, der nicht für die Durchführung von Behandlungen in Yorkville zugelassen war, dies bei zwei verschiedenen Gelegenheiten tat (eine Inspektion des Kehlkopfs mit einem spaghettidünnen Zielfernrohr, das durch die Nase geführt wurde). Die Untersuchung ergab, dass weder Rivers noch sein gesetzlicher Vertreter über die Behandlung informiert oder zugelassen wurden.
