LA SANTÉ DES ENFANTS A ÉTÉ TRÈS COMPROMISE PAR L’INCIDENT NUCLÉAIRE
Les enfants ont été plus affectés que les adultes par les effets à long terme des radiations produites par la catastrophe de Tchernobyl. Ils ont développé des troubles de santé avec un seuil de gravité souvent létal, poussant ainsi de nombreux organismes à but non lucratif à réagir dans l’immédiat.
Chernobyl Children International a été la première de ses organisations à agir face à la situation en fournissant notamment une aide médicale et humanitaire aux victimes. Son initiative a été soutenue par les Nations Unies et a été consolidée par des fonds en provenance des quatre coins du globe.
