PRIPYAT ÉTAIT UNE TRÈS BELLE VILLE AVANT LA CATASTROPHE
Les conséquences d’un incident tel que celui de Tchernobyl prennent vraiment tout leur poids quand ils sont présentés sous l’angle d’une image comme celle-ci. La photo tenue par cette femme est en effet celle de la place principale de Pripyat à l’époque où la ville était encore des plus prospères.
Il paraît difficile d’imaginer que la vie des habitants de Pripyat soit passée de la promesse du confort et du progrès à l’expérience d’une tragédie sans précédent qui les a poussés à l’exode. Il y avait pourtant jusqu’à 50 000 habitants dans cette ville, et l’âge moyen de la population était de 26 ans.
