John Tyler – Price Undetermined, Sherwood Forest Plantation, Charles City County, Virginia

John Tyler, who is the 10th US president, took out a fortune from his banks to build Sherwood Forest, his home in Virginia. The 1,600-acre property is one of the plantation yards in the United States that has everything in order.

Out of 1600, a whopping twenty-eight acres have been utilized by Tyler to grow 35 species of plants that are not native to America, for instance, the ginkgo tree.

John has always been considered as the Union’s traitor and this is the reason why his death wasn’t publicly acknowledged by President Abraham Lincoln and the United States government.
