Check Out The Cars & Houses Of The Most Important Politicians in U.S. History

MARTIN VAN BUREN – PRICE UNDETERMINED, LINDENWALD, KINDERHOOK, NEW YORK

Martin Van Buren was the eighth president of the USA and served just one term from 1837 to 1841. Aside from taking up this important position, he also acted as an advisor to Andrew Jackson who succeeded him.

He was born and brought up in Kinderhook, NY where he, in his adulthood, had his palatial home built. In fact, to call it palatial is an understatement, considering how the house itself had 36 rooms! When he took retirement from the world of politics, he spent the rest of his days in this luxurious abode which, if you didn’t know, also had a farm within the property.

It is a National Historic Site now and is well-preserved by the government. Despite being an average or below average president, his contributions toward the development of the country at its infancy stage go without saying.
