Apesar do seu sucesso, a atriz acabou enfrentando alguns problemas na sua vida pessoal e começou a usar drogas com o passar dos anos. Ao contrário de outras celebridades que evitam falar sobre o assunto, Carrie comentou abertamente sobre o seu vício e sua batalhada contra o álcool e drogas.
