Piosenkarka i dziennikarz połączyli swoje drogi po jej udziale w konkursie Eurowizji, gdzie z utworem “To nie ja byłam Ewą” zajęła drugie miejsce. Ich pierwsze spotkanie miało miejsce w studiu Telewizji Polskiej, gdzie Piotr Kraśko przeprowadzał z nią wywiad. Mówi się, że już od pierwszych chwil między nimi pojawiła się chemia. Wkrótce zaczęli się spotykać coraz częściej, a po kilku tygodniach podjęli decyzję o wspólnym zamieszkaniu. Edyta starała się, aby ich związek pozostał prywatny; unikali wspólnych wystąpień publicznych, nie pojawiali się razem na branżowych imprezach i nie udzielali wspólnych wywiadów. Po kilku miesiącach Edyta Górniak i Piotr Kraśko zdecydowali się rozstać, jednak żadne z nich nie ujawnia publicznie powodów tej decyzji.
