Sydney Leroux – Eine Stürmerin mit doppelter Leidenschaft
Sydney Leroux stammt ursprünglich aus Kanada, doch sie entschied sich für eine Fußballkarriere in den USA dank ihrer doppelten Staatsbürgerschaft durch ihren amerikanischen Vater. Schon mit 15 Jahren gab sie ihr Profidebüt bei den Vancouver Whitecaps und etablierte sich schnell als Torjägerin. Im amerikanischen Nationalteam erreichte sie große Erfolge, darunter eine olympische Goldmedaille und den Sieg bei der FIFA-Frauen-Weltmeisterschaft.
Im Jahr 2015 heiratete sie den britischen MLS-Star Dom Dwyer, mit dem sie ihre Leidenschaft für den Fußball teilte, doch die Ehe ging 2021 auseinander. Nach einigen Jahren bei den Orlando Pride stellt sie heute ihr Talent beim Angel City FC unter Beweis.
