Am folgenden Morgen inspizierte er erneut den Pool, und bei Tageslicht sah er etwas, das seine Wut aufs Neue entfachte. Ein weiterer tiefer Kratzer war in der Poolverkleidung, an fast derselben Stelle wie beim ersten Mal.
Greg war überzeugt, dass es derselbe Hund gewesen sein musste, was bedeutete, dass die Kinder trotz seines Verbots in seinem Garten gewesen waren und die Nachbarn all seine Warnungen ignoriert hatten.
