Ihre Abhängigkeit von Drogen und Alkohol haben maßgeblich zu dem Nervenzusammenbruch von Britney Spears in 2007 beigetragen. Zu dieser Zeit befand sie sich auch in einem Rechtsstreit mit ihrem Ex-Mann das Sorgerecht ihrer gemeinsamen Kinder. Zum Glück hat sie sich in eine Klinik einweisen lassen und hat sowohl einen Entzug, als auch eine Psychotherapie absolviert. Heutzutage ist sie sehr viel besser drauf, dank all der guten Arbeit der talentierten Psychotherapeuten und Suchtberater.
