Autorin Melanie Richards Griffith[2][3]. Amerikanische Filmproduzentin und Schauspielerin, geboren am 9. August 1957. Ihre Karriere begann in den 1970er Jahren, als sie in einigen Low-Budget-Thrillern auftrat; Mitte der 1980er Jahre hatte sie den Durchbruch zum Mainstream geschafft.
Sie wurde in Manhattan als Tochter der Schauspielerin Tippi Hedren und des Vaters des Werbeleiters Peter Griffith geboren, verbrachte aber einen Großteil ihrer Kindheit in Los Angeles, wo sie die Hollywood Professional School besuchte und schließlich abschloss. Mit 17 Jahren gab Griffith ihr Filmdebüt an der Seite von Gene Hackman in Arthur Penns Neo-Noir Night Moves (1975).
