Robert Pine, qui jouait le très beau Sgt. Joseph Getraer, dans ChiPs de NBC, a transmis ses talents d’acteur et sa beauté à son fils Chris Pine. Peu de gens savent que Chris est titulaire d’un diplôme d’anglais de Berkeley et le connexion qu’il ressentait dans le théâtre de son collège l’a inspiré à poursuivre des études de comédien.
