Para la serie de Netflix, Santa Clarita Diet, Drew perdió 20 libras para parecer totalmente una madre zombi de los suburbios que está en una dieta de pura proteína. Ella admitió que con su reciente divorcio, toda la interacción con los abogados la dejó exhausta y ella no se dio cuenta que estaba aumentando de peso. Ella mayormente siguió una dieta vegana, pero se permitió comer carnes magras como pollo y pescado.
