Flower Power in Full Force

Flower power is a catchphrase used by a subculture that arose in the ’60s and ’70s. The slogan was born out of their distaste for war and violence and their strong belief that people should lead peaceful lives, loving each other and building safe communities for their children.

While the message of nonviolence and passive resistance was widespread at first, it soon lost momentum. And today, we look back on it as only a part of our not-so-distant history.
